The 22-year old actor of "Pusong Ligaw" Diego Loyzaga is in the hot spot of the social media world again after a nude video of Diego Loyzaga made the rounds online a few days ago.
The said video clip shocked and puzzled some netizens as to the real reason why he would post such a clip on social media.
The actor, however, clarified that the video was only uploaded accidentally. "I don't know why naging problema o issue ito. Siguro kasi tinanggal ko siya kaagad. Pero talagang accident lang na na-post ko. ‘Saved' and ‘My Story' are right next to each other on Instagram. Na-save ko siya, I didn't know na na-My Story ko pala siya,(I don't know why it became a problem or issue. Maybe because I remove it immediately. But actually, it was just accidentally posted. ‘Saved' and ‘My Story' are right next to each other on Instagram. I want to save it but I put it on My Story.)" he explained.
The young actor Diego Loyzaga said that he was naked in the video because he took part in the Swedish tradition during winter of going into a sauna without any clothing. "It really was just an accident. Like I said, if you watch my Stories, sinave ko talaga 'yung Euro trip ko. I really have a video when I was in a Jacuzzi explaining na ito yung gawain sa Sweden na after mag-dinner, we would go to a sauna and a hot tub na nakahubad, (It really was just an accident. Like I said, if you watch my Stories, I really save photos and videos of my Europe trip. I really have a video when I was in a Jacuzzi explaining what to do in Sweden after having dinner. We would go to a sauna and a hot tub totally naked) " he said.
The young actor admits that at first he was reluctant and shy but eventually adopted the tradition. He said "To be honest, 'yung unang mga gabi, nahihiya ako maghubad kasi hindi natin gawain 'yun sa Pilipinas. Pero nasa Europe tayo eh… Susunod ka sa gawain nila. After mga two or three nights, you know what, ‘Let's do this.' I even videoed it pero para sa blog ko na 'yun, (To be honest, during the first night, I was ashamed to get naked because we are not doing it in the Philippines. But we are in Europe so I just followed what they are doing. After two to three nights, you know what, Let us do this. I even recorded it in my video camera for my personal blog.)"
He explained that he was taking a video of himself on Instagram Stories, showing only the upper half of his body. However, he accidentally panned down. Instead of deleting the video, he accidentally pressed the wrong button, thereby posting the video. On the Instagram Stories feature, the buttons to save a picture and to post a picture are right next to each other. "I was vlogging the whole time I was in Sweden and Amsterdam and I was showing everyone how to follows yung mga ibang kultura sa ibang bansa (I was vlogging the whole time I was in Sweden and Amsterdam and I was showing everyone how to follows the cultures of other countries)," he shared.
"Naisip ko rin na hindi lahat naiintindihan, hindi magegets ng lahat ng tao dito. So nung nalaman ko na napost ko pala yun, tinanggal ko kaagad." (I thought that not everyone would understand. So when I posted it, I removed it right away.) He added, "Pero from the night before, I was also naked. And no one really made an issue about it. (But the night before, I was also naked. And no one really made an issue about it)". "For me hindi siya scandal, (For me, it's not a scandal)" he said.
When asked about how mom Teresa Loyzaga felt about it, he shared that to run naked in the snow is on his bucket list. He also shared that it was his mom who videoes him in his Europe tour. He said "Sino ang camera man ko? Ang nanay ko. It's a European tradition. It's not a big deal abroad, (Who was my cameraman? My own mother. It's a European tradition. It's not a big deal abroad.)"
Loyzaga said one of his friends messaged him after seeing his nude clip and that was when he deleted the post. "It was my friend who first told me na ‘Pare, bakit mo na-post ito?' Tapos nung tinignan ko, sabi ko okay tatanggalin ko na. But nothing really bad I guess. It was just ‘bakit' lang. They were like, ‘Bro, bakit mo pinost ito?' That was all, (It was my friend who first told me that ‘Pare, why did you post this one? After I saw it, I immediately remove it. But nothing really bad I guess. It was just questions about why. They were like, ‘Bro, why did you post this one?' That was all)" he said. The young actor clarifies and also denied that he had too many drinks the night he shared it on social media. He said he deleted it immediately when he realized his mistake.
When probed if he preferred being hairless as the screen grab showed, he laughed. "Australians hindi." (Australians would rather not.) Loyzaga was raised in Australia for about 10 years when he migrated there with his mom and brother. He later returned to the Philippines to pursue a career in showbiz.
And to Diego Loyzaga love team Sofia Andres just give a brief comment about the issue involving her partner like she doesn't want to talk about it. In her short interview she said "I don't know about that, Kasi hindi ako masyadong ma social media ngayon so hindi ko nakita, (I don't know about that because I'm not into social media lately so I did not see it.)" The young actress of "Pusong Ligaw" added that "Siyempre nagulat ako, pero hindi ko na siya tini-tease pa about that or sitahin siya kasi malaki na siya alam na niya ang tama at mali, (Of course I was shocked but I'm not teasing him about that nor accost him about it because he is already grown up and he knows right from wrong.)"
Even though the young actor is surrounded by negative issues now his partner Sofia Andres is still happy for Diego because he was able to reconcile with his father. Earlier last year the young actor's name surface the social media world due to his misunderstanding with his father Cesar Montano. It was even the talk of the town the exchange of words between the father and son in Instagram. The young actress said "I'm so happy, kasi based noon sa mga kuwento niya na mayroon nga silang hindi pagkakaintindihan. But, I'm really happy na nagkaayos na sila based nga sa naging kuwento niya siyempre iba pa din yung okay ka sa magulang mo eh, kumpleto, (I'm so happy because based on his story before that they really have misunderstood. But they were able to reconcile based on his story. Of course, it is different that you are in good terms with your parents, It's complete.)"
Despite the difficult experiences that the young actor been through with his life, it does not change on Sofia look at Diego Loyzaga. She said "Kasi alam ko po pinagdadanan niya e. Hindi ko siya pwedeng i-judge na, na-off ako sa kanya. Sa amin dalawa kasi pinagsasabihan ko siya, pinagsasabihan niya din ako, so walang judgement po, (Because I know what he's been through, he shares his story to me, so there is no judgment.)"
On the other hand, the actress confirmed that she will be part of the upcoming kapamilya fantaserye Bagani in which she will be joined by Liza Soberano at Enrique Gil. She said, "This year I'll be having Bagani with Liza, Enrique, Makisig and Mateo and I'm excited."
