Just like the major solo concert of her friend Maymay Entrata, Kisses Delavin sold out concert “Confidently Kisses” was also a successful one.
Both the concert of the two Pinoy Big Brother former housemate were held in Kia Theater last weekend, but happened on different dates. Maymay Entrata’s concert held first and followed by the “Confidently Kisses” concert of Delavin. Lots of surprises in the concert of the former housemate with special participation and guests like Sam Milby, Karla Estrada, Marlo Martel and Tony Labrusca. The young artist was so happy with the outcome of her concert and very thankful to her fans. She posted a message for her fans saying “Happiest day of my life!!! #ConfidentlyKISSES the concert was a success because of all of you.
No words can express how thankful I am to each of you – from those who watched live, to those who tweeted, to those who wished me luck and prayed for its success. I said this there, and I just want to say it again, this concert is about you and me. It’s our journey to accepting our weaknesses and being human. Being confident is all about celebrating yourself.” She added that “Every girl like me need not be the best, we need not be number 1 all the time, as long as we do things with our heart and soul, and as long as we do our best for people who will appreciate it, that is enough and we should be happy in the uniqueness that we have.”
These are a few things on why it was a night to remember for Kisses. First, she gave her all-out dance performances. Kisses wowed her audience with her fierce dances moves right from the very beginning! Audiences were amazed right from the very moment when she first came out, being brought down by an astral-inspired platform, after which she performed Demy Lovato’s song, “Confident.” She then performed other numbers that brought out the festiveness in her, like Little Mix’s “Power,” proving that there’s more to Kisses than her sweet image, or being sugar, spice, and everything nice.
Next, she rapped and played the guitar! A lady who can play the guitar is definitely sexy, so we love it that Kisses channelled her inner Swifter, she confesses to being an avid Taylor Swift fan and played the instrument! She has knowledge of how to play the guitar and has videos practicing, but it’s a great moment to see her finally doing it during her concert. Another, Kisses also rapped to Macklemore’s “Glorious” during her show! Also, Kisses’ wow-worthy Francis Libiran outfits are so cool.
Kisses’ is a Francis Libiran girl, having worn the designer during important events in her life such as her debut and the Star Magic Ball. It was no wonder that Kisses obtained the services of the renowned Filipino designer again this time and had her beautiful, intricate gowns made by Francis for another milestone in her life, her first-ever solo concert! We’re still drooling from the gorgeousness of her feminine ball gowns and other colorful beaded numbers. We also love how the gowns suited Kisses, and made her look every inch a queen that night!
Another, the support of Kisses’ fellow Pinoy Big Brother Housemates. The Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 batch mates are such a tight-knight bunch, and we’re glad they still managed to maintain the friendships and support each other even if they’ve been through a lot, and had some tension before. It was touching to see Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata, Kisses’ batch mates in PBB, watch her concert and post messages of support. Also, her epic The Greatest Showman-inspired performances that wow the audience.
Kisses also sang another song from the hit film, this time the memorable and inspirational track, “This is Me,” as her finale. It was Kisses’ special night, but she also made her fans feel special by literally reaching out to them after her concert! She took selfies with them, shook their hands, had them kiss and hug her, said her thanks, and so much more! We love a star who’s grateful and loves her fans, so what a great gesture from Kisses!
Lastly, Kisses’ kilig partners. Honestly, it’s hard to choose between cuties Tony Labrusca and Donny Pangilinan when they’re both being paired with her. And our concert princess, Kisses, is so lucky to have that problem! Donny lent his support by watching from the very beginning, and also going up to congratulate Kisses for the successful concert! Both Tony and Donny have magical chemistry with this concert princess, so having them during the show definitely had the sparks flying and had the sweet meter flying way off the charts! The concert stage of Kia Theatre fill of deafening shrieks as Kisses Delavin and Tony Labrusca hug on concert stage.
The two showbiz newcomers Kisses and Tony shared the stage during the first solo concert of the "Pinoy Big Brother" graduate. Labrusca was one of Delavin's guest performers at the show. Together, they performed "Rewrite the Stars" from the hit big-screen musical "The Greatest Showman," and "Pag-Ibig Nga Kaya" by Christian Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go. In both numbers, the choreography had Labrusca and Delavin holding hands and hugging numerous times, triggering shrieks in the theater, as seen in a YouTube video uploaded by fans of both artists.
After their first performance together, Labrusca told Delavin: "I'm so happy that I get to be part of this special day for you, because I know that for the rest of your career, you're going to remember this day, so I'm really blessed to be part of it. The newbie actor continued saying "If you just look out to this crowd, there are so many people who love you and support you. One thing that I want you to know, kasama na rin ako doon." After her concert she shared a photo on her Instagram account, the photo was a picture of her with Labrusca moments before they appeared on stage. In the caption, she addressed Labrusca, saying: "Silent moment backstage before it all happened.
I remember how nervous we were. I remember feeling terrified of the heights and of falling. And I remember how we both offered it to God and let Him lead the way. And we made it! Lord, you are amazing!"
Delavin was previously paired as "love team" with Marco Gallo, also a former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate. However, the two had a falling out, leading fans of the actress to suggest a new leading man for her. Among them have been model and VJ Donny Pangilinan, as well as Labrusca.
While they are not being billed as a "love team" just yet, Delavin and Labrusca as a tandem have attracted a loyal following, who have aptly dubbed themselves "KissTon."
After the scrapped of the KissMarc love team last year, all eyes are now on La Luna Sangre star Tony Labrusca after he made an appearance at the Multimedia Princess' grand album launch with flowers in hand. Though there is no official announcement just yet, we're already on board the KissTon ship. Here are a few things why! First, they both share the same love for their own fans. Tony identifies himself as a people-pleaser, so his desire to bring happiness to his fans comes naturally. However, if there's anyone who loves their fans more than he does, it's definitely Kisses! After the KissMarc fallout, she delivered a heartfelt apology to both her fans and the fans of the love team who were heartbroken by the news. We are certain that when paired together, these two would never fail to make their fans happy!
Next, they share the same sentiment for their families. All of Kisses' fans know very well just how much her parents love her and why. Just the same, Kisses strongly emphasized how important her parents are to her on the online talk show Kapamilya Chat. Tony would totally understand her sentiment as he has a very close relationship with his mother, Angel Jones who herself was part of the '90s international hip-hop group Kulay. They even work out together and wear twinning outfits!
Another, they make a great power duo on stage. Both Kisses and Tony are exceptionally talented, "triple-threat" artists. Kisses already showcased her acting skills in Loving in Tandem and exhibited her prowess both as a singer and, as shown in a video she shared on her Instagram account, a dancer! Tony has long proven himself a worthy performer during his Pinoy Boyband Superstar days and a remarkable actor in La Luna Sangre. Together, these two would probably light the stage on fire, just like what happened on Kisses first solo concert.
Lastly, they're both starting over. Tony was tagged as a bad boy heartbreaker due to a commercial that went viral. But that doesn't mean the "breakup" didn't leave him in pieces. Now, he's ready for a fresh start! And though Kisses acknowledges the KissMarc fans' woes over their ship and explicitly stated she would need some time before working with another on-screen partner, we're all glad she's not closing the door to starting over again! Everyone loves a "good girl meets bad boy" story, and that's just what these two are! We'll be on the edge of our seats until the day we are finally granted the love team we all deserve!
