Miho Nishida the winner of "Pinoy Big Brother" and blossoming newbie in the entertainment industry, is not one to shy away from confirming speculation about whether she's undergone cosmetic surgery.
In her recent appearances on the talk shows "Tonight With Boy Abunda" later last year, and earlier this year on the morning show "Magandang Buhay", the 25-year-old reality star breezed through questions about her "improved" looks.
The improved looks of the actress may have drawn mixed reactions but Miho Nishida was refreshingly honest when asked about whether she went under the knife in her interview. Like in her interview with Boy Abunda in his late night show "Tonight With Boy Abunda" she said "For me, gusto ko lang mag-improve sa sarili ko. "Para sa akin, sa isang artista, gusto ko lagi akong maganda. Gusto kong maipakita sa mga tao na, 'Ay maganda pala si Miho.' Kasi iyon naman ang trabaho natin. (I just want to improve myself. For me as an artist, I just want to always look good. I want to show to the people that Miho can still improve her looks because it is our job to always look good.)"
For Nishida, it's all about boosting her confidence and self-esteem as a celebrity that can be seen performing. She said "Siyempre nakikita mo sa sarili mo na maganda ka, doon tayo nagsisimula sa araw-araw, nakikita natin ang itsura natin. So ito na 'yon, doon ako kumukuha ng lakas ng loob. (Of course when you look at self that you are beautiful, you can start your daily routine with that, looking at yourself. This is it, it is where I get my self-confidence"
In the guesting of the actress on DZMM Teleradyo's Showbuzz, she explained why she decided to make changes in her appearance. "Siyempre, bilang isang artista, para sa akin kung gusto kung lagi tayong maganda. And then happy ako kung ano ang meron sa akin. Mas lalong tumaas iyung confidence ko, so yes, (Of course for me as an actress we need to look beautiful. And then I am happy of what I have now. And the level of my confidence is high, so yes)" she said.
With a fiercely loyal fanbase during and since her "Pinoy Big Brother" stint, Nishida has gotten both praise and criticisms for her decision to change her appearance. But this hasn't stopped her from being transparent about her surgery, with photos of her pre-operation looks still abundantly on her Instagram profile. Her more recent look, meanwhile, is getting approving comments via her glam team's own social media posts. Nishida debuted her fresh new look online, just a few weeks after her first major concert was announced.
When the news broke out in the social media world, the former reality star is not shy in admitting publicly that she had gone under the knife to improve her looks, for that she gains the respect of other celebrities such as the beautiful hosts of the morning talk show "Magandang Buhay" Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros. In an episode of the morning talk show, Miho bravely answered questions pertaining to her surgery. While other frowns upon plastic surgery, host Karla lauded Miho for her choice.
Of course, everyone was also curious about what is the reaction of Aimi, the daughter of Miho Nishida, upon seeing her post-surgery look. Her daughter had the most adorable quip for her mother. She shares that her daughter emphasized the differences that elicit laughter from the hosts and audience of the morning show "Magandang Buhay". She said "Sabi niya sa akin, Di na tayo magkamukha. Di na tayo parehas ng ilong. (She said to me, we are not look alike anymore, we don't have the same shape of the nose.)"
Miho Nishida became a television personality when she entered the big brother house in 2015. Her full name is Michelle "Miho" Lalic Nishida. She ended the reality show as the Big Winner of the second batch of Pinoy Big Brother: 737 housemates. Miho Nishida was born on December 16, 1992, in Angono, Rizal, Philippines, but her mother, who worked as an entertainer, brought her to Tokyo when she was two years old and single-handedly raised her there. Having been exposed to Japanese for most of her life, she only understands and speaks a little English. She is a single mother and has a six-year-old daughter.
Miho Nishida can be seen on the primetime show "La Luna Sangre" together with Young JV. Both the celebrities are making the headlines after their apparent closeness showed off on their social media. Consequently, many netizens are eager to know the real score between the rumored couple. In an interview with Young JV, he clarified that there is no romance happening between the two of them and said that they share just a close friendship. The young actor said "Me and Miho because we both broke-up with our partners, we were in a similar place. Me and her, so we are hanging out, we are very close. Kasi for some reason magkaswak ‘yung personalities namin tapos magkasama kami sa La Luna (Sangre) so ayon ‘yun that's how it feels na we are close together. We are always hanging out though. (Me and Miho because we both broke-up with our partners, we were in a similar place. Me and her, so we are hanging out, we are very close. Because our personalities suit each other and we are both in La Luna Sangre so that is how we think we are close together. We are always hanging out though.)"
The actress Miho Nishida, who was last seen with PBB housemate and model Tommy Esguerra, also denied the relationship rumors. She said "Magkaibigan lang kami, parang getting to know each other. Masaya siyang kausap kasi parang sa set ‘yun nag-uusap naman kami. (We are just friends, we are in the stage of getting to know each other. He is fun to chat with like in the set.)" Miho said that getting in a relationship isn't a priority yet for her right now, and agreed with what JV has to comment on their status. She added "Oo tama naman ‘yun dahil siya din galing sa break-up ako din siyampre two months mga ganon pa eh. Pero friends, friends lang naman. Ang mahalaga everyday happy. (Yes, it is right because both of us are from breakups, I myself is from a break up for around two months. But we are friends, what is important we are happy every day.)"
