Reasons for Moving to Another Network
Ryza Cenon finally signed a deal with ABS-CBN and this has confirmed her move from the network's competitor station, GMA-7. With her move, she has shocked many of her followers.
Although, it is not unprecedented, an actress who has worked for a particular TV station for more than 10 years to finally moved is indeed a subject of discussion. This type of news is especially appealing to those who are intrigued to know the reasons.
So, why did she actually move?
Cenon stated to the ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe right after signing her contract as below:
"Kaya rin ako nag-decide na lumipat kasi gusto kong mag-explore din, gusto kong makatrabaho iyong magagaling, gusto kong matuto sa kanila."
Last month, in March, Cenon won the Osaka Asian Film Festival in Japan. She took home the Yakushi Pearl Award or also known as the Most Brilliant Performer Award. Right after the winning, Cenon made the transfer to ABS-CBN.
Her role in "Mr. and Mrs. Cruz" has given this actress the chance to win the award. In the movie, she plays a role of a woman who is looking to finally move on from a heartbreak by travelling.
Also, she had just completed an afternoon drama with the previous network. In that series, she played an antagonist role.
Her new involvement with ABS-CBN is allowing her to play a part in the network's hit prime time series, "Ang Probinsyano." She also will have appearances in a series of out-of-town and The Filipino Channel (TFC) shows.
