The phenomenal television host of Its Showtime Vice Ganda drops the plan of confronting the basher of his friend Hashtags member Jon Lucas. The said basher wished Hashtag member Jon Lucas to be dead.
The television host and actor stood firm on his replies to a basher who said that Hashtags member Jon Lucas should've passed away instead of Franco Hernandez. He had lashed out on the netizen and said, "Sa gitna ng pagluluksa namin ngayon di ko papayagang may lumapastangan sa mga taong malapit sakin. Napakawalang hiya mong hayup ka! (In the middle of our mourning, I will not anyone to desecrate any of my close friends. You are a barbaric kind of animal!)" But now that the television host and actor's emotions have calmed down in the past weeks, he was able to explain just what was going through his head during that moment. "At that moment, I was just being myself. At that morning, I was mourning, I was weeping, I was devastated because of my good friend's death. That was the exact feeling na naramdaman ko (That was the exact feeling that I felt inside)," he explained during his solo digital conference for his upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry.

Vice reiterated that he felt violated by the netizen's inappropriate comment. "Feeling ko nabastos niya yung kaibigan ko, feeling ko OA, feeling ko na-violate niya yung kaibigan ko. Right then and there, hindi ako nag-isip, I have to be a friend to my friend. Itataas ko 'tong kaibigan ko, kailangan kong ipagtanggol itong kaibigan ko, (I felt that he disrespected my friend, I felt it just overacting, I felt she violated my friend. Right then and there, I did not think anymore, I have to be a friend to my friend. I will uplift my friend, there is a need to defend my friend)" he said.
Instead of being criticized for being blunt on social media, Vice received support after his tweets lambasting the basher were posted. "Nauunawaan naman ng mga tao. Wala akong nabasa na binash ako at hindi nila naunawaan ang damdamin ko noong oras na 'yon. Feeling ko, nasa tamang posisyon ako, (People understand me. I have not read that I was bashed and that they did not understand my feelings that time. I felt that I'm in the right position.)" he said.
This issue came out after the sudden accident that the hashtag member Franco Hernandez encounter in one of their outing in the Island of Davao Occidental that causes his death. Lots of Franco family, friends and fans mourn and are very disappointed about what happened. A fan crosses the borderline and instead of giving her comforting messages to the bereaved family she twitted on Twitter using her personal account saying "Bat si Franco pa yung namatay di nalang si Jon Lucas. #RIPFrancoHernandez (Why it had to be Franco who died, why not Jon Lucas. #RIPFrancoHernandez)"
He added, "At that point, sabi ko, itu-tweet ko kung ano ang gusto kong i-tweet. Kung ano ang kahinatnan nito, I will be responsible. Kung ma-bash, e, di ma-bash, pero yun ang gusto kong gawin noong panahon na 'yon. (At that point, I said I will tweet whatever I want to tweet. Whatever will be the outcome, I will be responsible.)" As soon as his tweet circulated the social media world, netizens took the initiative to "hunt" down the basher and divulge her whereabouts. But for Vice, the incident is way behind him now.
In contrast to the reaction of Vice Ganda, the hashtag member Jon Lucas responded to the basher calmly. In a Facebook direct message to the source, the Hashtags member expressed that he is fine and it does not bother him. Jon Lucas posted his reaction towards the wish of Pia Kim. On his post, he encouraged the public not to say something bad about Pia Kim anymore and not to wish for her what she wished for him. According to Jon, he will not die as he has lots of things to do."Babawi pa ako sa pamilya ko, kaibigan, mga kaibigan na sumusuporta at higit sa lahat sa Ama. Ama na bahala sa kanila, hayaan niyo na. Wag na kayo magpaka-stress. Uso ngayon Aneurysm baka mamaya mawala tayo lahat magtagumpay pa tong Pia Kim hahaha. (I still need to make up with my family, friends, close friends who supported me and most of all to the Lord. Let God care for them, just let them be. Do not stress yourself out, Aneurysm is so trending nowadays we might as well die all and Pia will be triumphant.)" Based on the report, on his post, Jon Lucas also wrote a message for Pia Kim and told her he is not mad at her. He told her that he does not have hard feelings towards her. "Wag mo nalang ulitin sa ibang tao sana lesson na yan sayo ate. Godbless! #PEACE. (Do not make it to other people and hope this will be the lesson for you to learn. God bless! #PEACE.)"
On the other hand, Vice Gand is being asked what if he meets the basher of his friend Jon Lucas, what will he do? "Tatampalin ko siya! Charot. Hindi, humupa naman na ang galit ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko sa kanya, pero for sure pagsasabihan ko siya sa kanyang ginawa, (I will slap her! Just kidding. No, my anger already subsided. I do not know yet what will I tell her but for sure I will reprimand her to what she has done.)" he said. And according to Vice, the basher has probably learned her lesson now. "Kung mayroon pa rin siyang tweets na hindi maganda, sabi ko, front lang ni girl 'yan, yung tapang-tapangan. Pero for sure, nangangatog na ang tumbong niyan. Nag-private ka na nga ng account, ibig sabihin, takot na takot ka na, hindi mo na kaya. Natuto na 'yan, (If she still has tweets that are not good then it is her defense mechanism to show that she is still brave. But rest assured she is already trembling down the rectum. She already put her account in private, which only means that she is already scared deep inside and cannot continue anymore. She already learned from it.)" he ended.
Many speculated that due to the blessing that Vice received this last quarter of the year and Christmas is fast approaching he just let that event pass his life. And he was sure enough that the basher learned the lesson of her wrongdoing in a hard way.
